I’ve been to all the FOOTPRINT+ events in the past and it’s always been a great experience. You learn something new, and you get to speak with so many people in the industry. This year has been no different—great conversations yesterday and today. The location makes the event super accessible, and that’s something we really value. It really brings together a wide breadth of the industry in one place.

FOOTPRINT+ is a great opportunity to see a good cross-section of the industry—all the architects, engineers, and suppliers—all in the room together. It's just like a one-stop shop for me; I can network and see everyone all in one day. It's always great to come here, get energized, collaborate, and see the opportunities for the built environment. It's a great opportunity to steal, innovate, and replicate as well.

This year's FOOTPRINT+ has such a strong lineup, with really tangible, projects delivering innovative results. The clients and consultants delivering those projects are here and that's why people should be here. We're really seeing a shift into clients who want to deliver value through sustainability, to really look at how we can drive improved value in buildings.

It's great for us to know that there's a place where we're going to meet a lot of professionals. It's sometimes very difficult for government to reach out to smaller organizations or people who are just not on our radar, to meet, get new ideas, new perspectives. We've got, in government, a lot of new objectives to get to clean heat by 2030 and to achieve clean power. So the closer we get to that deadline, the more important it is to work together to make it happen, so we will be here again.

Between bumping into people and having spontaneous conversations, there’s so much content that you simply won’t be able to take it all in. Know what the key things are that you want to get from the event, because there’s just so much value to be gained from being here.

What stands out at FOOTPRINT+ is the scale of it, more people from the legal profession should be here. There's work for us to do in ensuring the contracts and legal frameworks we create align with our clients’ ambitions for net zero. It’s important that lawyers are involved early and actively in these discussions. We play a key role in enabling sustainability, whether it’s through contract drafting, risk management, or helping our clients navigate complex regulations. Being here ensure we understand the latest standards and goals in the built environment sector.

The thing you experience at FOOTPRINT+ is just how engaged people are, there's an inherent passion within the audience here. That’s invigorating!
