Stephanie Burrell
Stephanie leads Forest Economy initiatives at the World Economic Forum, working to unlocking the full climate potential of forests and forest products. She is currently focussed on catalysing the use of timber products to decarbonise the construction sector and build net zero, nature positive cities. This requires working with the public sector, private sector and civil society globally to demonstrate a path for cities to substantially reduce embodied carbon and create healthy, resilient, and sustainable buildings in harmony with nature.
The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. It was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It is independent, impartial, and not tied to any special interests. With over 50 years of experience in bringing stakeholders together, the World Economic Forum has a proven ability to engage leading private sector CEOs and public figures, political and civil society leaders in dialogue and partnerships aiming to improve the state of the world.
