Paul Astle
Paul is the Decarbonisation Lead for Ramboll Buildings globally. Paul supports Ramboll’s 4,500 building designers and their clients as they work to reduce the carbon in their projects. As a chartered structural engineer Paul is also focussed on efforts to reduce material demand as well as decarbonise steel and concrete. He is one of the authors of the Green Construction Board’s Low Carbon Concrete Routemap and provides support for the ConcreteZero initiative. Paul is also an advocate for the use of carbon assessments to aid reduction strategies and is part of the team working on the forthcoming update to the RICS Professional Statement: Whole Life Carbon Assessment for the Built Environment.
