Matthew Blair
Matthew is an architect, technologist and Principal at BVN. He leads public, education, commercial, workplace and life sciences projects to deliver better, more sustainable and inclusive places. Matthew has worked across Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, North America and the UK, and now leads BVN’s Europe Studio. Major projects include Quay Quarter Tower and the Atlassian Central HQ projects in Sydney, a major new cultural and administrative building in New South Wales and a pedagogically-shifting laboratory teaching facility here at the University of Sheffield. Matthew drives transformational and innovation work at BVN, partnering with universities and start-ups, as well as other architectural practices to help shift the notion of what architecture is.

Australian at heart, it has a global outlook and a reputation for design leadership and innovation. Working across a wide breadth of sectors and projects around the world, the BVN Europe Studio is housed in London’s Black & White Building, and is focused on supporting clients with their work + place journeys – branching workplace strategy, masterplanning, architecture, interior architecture and placemaking to create sustainable places for people to thrive.
