Senior Programme Manager, Impact Investing Institute

Mark leads the Impact Investing Institute's place-based impact investing (PBII) and preventative health programmes, partnering with investors and communities across the UK to pioneer innovative investment approaches. Under his leadership, the programmes have fostered collaboration between pension funds, investors and local authorities to develop and embed PBII strategies. Mark leads the Institute's Place Coalition, a national community of PBII practitioners, and regularly shares insights and expertise at speaking engagements throughout the UK and internationally.

Previously, Mark served as Policy and Projects Manager in the Leadership Office at Waltham Forest Council. His extensive background in local economic development spans a decade at a leading UK think tank, where he directed multidisciplinary research teams and forged partnerships with organisations including Mastercard and Sage. He has co-authored numerous publications on impact investing, community-based finance, community engagement and the future of work. Mark is deeply committed to harnessing impact investing to create a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
