Dominic Burbridge
Dom Burbridge has over 20 years’ experience in corporate climate risk, Net Zero, low carbon, resource efficiency and renewable energy consulting. He is on the management team of Business Services - the Carbon Trust’s corporate advisory and assurance practice, with responsibility for strategic business development, proposition development, project leadership and client management.
Working across a diverse range of industry sectors from construction, infrastructure, housebuilding and commercial real estate through to hospitality and leisure, Dom has directed more than 200 projects to develop value creation strategies for thriving in, and maximising the benefits of adapting to, a resource constrained world to enhance both the environmental and economic sustainability of their businesses. Working at all levels within the client’s organisation; one of his core skill areas is working at C-Suite level to create sound business cases that unlock the clarity and alignment needed to enable decisive action on accelerating the transition to Net Zero.
Other areas of expertise include strategy development, KPI and target setting, stakeholder workshop facilitation, implementation planning and working to positively influence all aspects of a client’s business. This includes business operations, investment planning and prioritisation, engaging suppliers and optimising their supply chains, lifecycle analysis of their products and services through to investigation of their customers evolving attitudes to sustainability.
Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Dom led the renewable energy grid connection consultant team for Econnect, electrical design engineers for the UK’s first offshore windfarm, and was Head of Commercial Projects for solarcentury delivering the UK’s largest grid-connected building integrated solar photovoltaic projects. Prior to that Dom was a weapons engineering officer in the Royal Navy Submarine Service.
