Climate Action Group and Architectural Assistant, Marks Barfield Architects
Darcy is a Part 2 Architectural Assistant and co-founder of MBA’s Climate Action Group. With a keen interest and commitment to regenerative design, she currently leads the whole life carbon and circular economy research for the practice, undertaking WLC assessments and audits of their projects. In collaboration with demolition contractors Lawmens, she is developing a Reuse in Reality Pocketbook focusing on the ‘nuts and bolts’ of deconstruction. Working on the donor building – a workplace refurbishment - and orchestrating the reuse of materials, she continues to advance circularity within the practice; developing a host-donor building methodology. She is a member of ACAN’s Embodied Carbon and Education thematic groups.
