Alex Benstead is a Senior Advisor in the Advancing Net Zero team at UKGBC leading work on embodied carbon, carbon offsetting, and carbon pricing. He previously worked for a product manufacturer in multiple business development and product management roles, where he developed hands-on experience and insights into how global organisations integrate sustainability within product development and manage embodied carbon of materials and processes. Alex currently builds on this experience at UKGBC, working on guidance and reports that influence the UK’s built environment. Alex holds a Masters’ degree in Civil Engineering.
