Philip Etchells
Philip joined Manchester based OMI Architects in 2012 and has gained experience across a range of project types and scales, from sensitive adaptive re-use of listed buildings through to large-scale residential developments; he has also led on a variety of workplace retrofit projects. These have included Fourways in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, where a series of bold interventions unlocked the potential of a Grade II Listed building, and Havelock, a recently completed, highly sustainable re-positioning of an early 2000’s office building. The project should become the first BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ certified retrofit in Manchester and has achieved NABERS 5* DFP rating.
Philip is listed on the RIBA Conservation Register, a regular contributor to The Modernist Society’s publication ‘The Modernist’ and has had work exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
