Kerstin Kane has worked many years as a Design and Conservation officer in London, incorporating sustainable design principles into negotiations with applicants. 3 years ago she has taken on the role of developing and heading the Sustainability Team in the planning section of the City of London Corporation -  at a time when a strong momentum for environmental sustainability in the context of the climate change movement and the pandemic recovery emerged. This role enables her to work in partnership with relevant internal and external stakeholders to drive forward sustainable building design at an early stage of the design process and to collaborate with the industry to find workable and best in class solutions for reducing carbon emissions, encouraging reuse and retrofitting and climate resilient design in the City specific context.
