Ben Ransom is a Director at Walsh, a leading structural, civil and geotechnical engineering consultancy focused on sustainable and viable designs. He is a highly skilled engineer with over 25 years experience and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Ben began his career at Walsh in 1999 as a graduate engineer. He quickly rose through the ranks thanks to his technical expertise and strong work ethic to become a Board Director. He has played a key role in many of Walsh's most prestigious projects with highlights including:
- 9 Millbank which won a prestigious international Institute of Structural Engineers Structural Award, 2023, for its extensive reuse and refurbishment strategy, which helped save 3,555 tonnes of embodied carbon.
- 50&65 Harbord Square used a complex foundation scheme to carry the buildings over Jubilee running line tunnels. Designed to the Code for Sustainable Homes – level 4 and won a Housing Design Award.
- Nobu Hotel Willow Street which widely recognised for its stunning exposed structure, winning multiple awards including a UK Property Award.
